redundant radius server is not working

Hi Expert,

We use radius server for login in our network devices. We have to radius server , one in india & another in newyork .

We have added first indian radius server entry & then newyork server entry in configuration.

But when server in india is not working or goes down, we are not able to login in some device using RSA Token. why request is not going towards newyork server.

I am so confused , because all devices have same radius configuration .

Hi,

Is this only effecting certain devices? You say that when the server in India goes down, you are not able to log into some of the devices - does this mean that some of the devices are working ok when the primary RADIUS server fails?

I would check thet the devices in question have the correct connectivity to the New York RADIUS server  and make sure that the RADIUS server itself has the correct RADIUS Client settings etc.

Yes, Its effecting certain devices . our all devices have connectivity with new York RADIUS server.

Please explain in brief , what you mean to check RADIUS server itself has the correct RADIUS Client settings.
