Register Interface IP to Dynamic DNS Server (Windows)

I want to  be able to register my Cisco Switches and Routers Interface IPs (Static IPs) to Windows DNS Server (Enabled for Dynamic Update)

is it possible? and how?

Switches do not support that.

I already used the following command with no success

enable

configure terminal

ip ddns update method test

interval maximum 0 0 15 0

ddns

interface eth 0

ip ddns update hostname hostname

ip ddns update test

am i missing something ???
