Hi All,

Can some explain me whats the relationship between nat and routing table. How they behave when both must execute? Whats the preference (which one is matched first)?

Thanks

i mean to say when a packet arrives in router first it sees a routing table or natting table.

Hi, as you can see in the table I referrred to, it depends. When a packet comes on an interface configured as an inside one (by the NAT configuration), policy routing and routing is processed first followed by NAT. When a packet comes on an outside interface, NAT is prcessed first followed by routing. Is it clearer now? Best regards, Milan
