Removing Cisco Configuration Professional

Hi,

I have a new 2911 with CCP installed. Are new 2900 routers are being shipped with CCP pre-installed (or the client mucked with it)?

I've always used CLI and don't like how it takes control of the configuration. For example, the first time you fire it up, there's a warning you will get one chance to use the default cisco username and password and then be locked out if you don't create other usernames. pfft.

I'd like to remove it, but not sure how and what side effects/caveats might be.

I recently purchased some 1900 routers for our Cisco lab at the school I work for. As soon as the instructors installed them I immediately got a call because the routers had a mind of their own, lol. I removed it and the routers are acting better than they were out of the box. Keep in mind this was a lab environment, so you might want to backup then try to wipe CCP out to make sure it doesn't explode.
