Hi community,
we are looking for a replacement for our 2 Cisco 3825 with 768mb ram.
We have bgp multihoming with full bgp table, 2 ISPs, 2 times 100mbit/s.
The 3825s are slowly getting problems with the load.
Is the Cisco C881-K9 a good choice?
Or is there a recommendation for a suitable hardware?
Thank you in advance.
Best regards
Achim

Hello
Have look here - cisco 3825 replacement
In the interim - to save rtr resource etc and especially when your receiving a full bgp internet table, If you have soft-inbound reconfiguration enabled and if your router and if your bgp neighbors support the capability then you could utilize route refresh instead this should save you quite a lot of rtr resource whilst you decide what rtr upgrade you go for?
