Hi,
I have the requirement like this.
32 Mbps, 20 Mbps, 32 Mbps ethernet over SDH connections, 2 Mbps serial connectivity, 1 fastethernet connectivity.
Can I use 1841 router or do I need to buy 2821 router?
Required your suggestions........

Hi Siva
If you are going to have all the mentioned capacities on your box then its better to go with the higher end router to avoid any kinda bottleneck.

Hi Prem,
Right now 1841 is having default ports i.e,
2 fastethernet ports
1 aux
1 con
Remaining 2 slots are free.
So what kind of cards I have to buy for my requirement?

If the conenctions you have set as 32m,20m & 32m are really delivered on SDH interfaces none of these routers will work. You will have to do to at least a 7200 series router. I have not seen a interface that will go into any of the ISR routers that can do SDH.
Now if your service provider is actually giving you ethernet then you need 3 ethernet ports and a serial port.
You can get the extra ethernet port by using a hwic-esw. For your serial you it will depend on if you need a csu/dsu or not. Something like a WIC-1T or VWIC-1MFT-E1 but this will depend to a point how the serial circuit is delivered.
Now you can put these cards into a 1841 and get everything connected but if you attempt to run the speeds you have listed it will overload the router. You have close to 100m of traffic so if you are really going to run that fast you are going to have issues even with 2800 series routers.
