on which interfaces to enable root guard .....imo. it is best to enable root guard on the trunk interfaces of the root switch as on these interfaces only we connect the redundant links...am i right ?? plz correct me...

Enable Root-Guard on any port that should not be a root port.
It doesn't mean it has to be a trunk port, it could also be an access port as well.

plz see the attachment......in the image if the rogue switch is trying to become the root then in this scenario if we want to protect the root bridge on which ports root guard can be applied ??
2. Also if root guard is applied then the ports go into root inconsistent state ....then as an administrator how can we know that the root bridge has changed, i mean to ask what changes can be observed in the network BEFORE using the "show spanning-tree inconsistent ports command"
