Hi everyone,

I have a WIFI guest network that is under a VRF GUEST and it is supposed receive IP address from a Server which is not part of the VRF GUEST, it is on global. But when I connect to wifi I can not get IP address.

The server has its gateway on the core Nexus which is connect to C4500 that is the gateway for the WIFI guest network.

Any idea on how to leak the vrf GUEST to Global?

Regards

Hello,

are we talking about layer 2 or layer 3 (involving ip helper addressing) on the 4500 and the Nexus ?

On the 4500, is it an option to configure the DHCP for the WiFi VRF there ? It would look something like this:

vrf wifi
rd 1:1
!
ip dhcp use vrf connected
!
ip dhcp pool GUEST_WIFI
network 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0
default-router 192.168.1.1
dns-server 4.2.2.2
vrf wifi

From Nexus to 4500 it is a L3, and from Nexus to Server it is L2 (Nexus5k and FEX2).
