I'm helping to setup a multipoint WAN connection between 3 and websites Would like to summarize routes. How can I summarize a Range  192.168.2.0/24  - 192.168.19.0/24 without the subnet 192.168.1.0/24 in it? The subnet 192.168.1.0/24 is Assigned To a different site and not part of the equation and we can not re address that site.

hi henry, this range can't be summarized in a single summary because it is not at a bit boundary.

But you can go multiple ways about it:

assuming that the 192.168.0.0/24 and 192.168.1.0/24 exist as a more specific route, you could possibly just send the :

192.168.0.0/20 out that covers 192.168.0.0 to 192.168.16.255

create another summary for the 192.168.17-19 with a 192.168.16.0/22

so having a 192.168.0.0/20 and a 192.168.16.0/22 in your routing table possibly with a 192.168.0.0/24 for the more specific subnet.

if that /24 is withdrawn then the summary of the /20 will kick in.

if you want a single summary, then you will need a 192.168.0.0/19, that will go from 0-31 on the 3rd octet.

cheers
