Router 3825 fried console port and admin down ethernet IF

Hello,

I have a 3825 router with a dead console port. Plus, I can't access to CLI through ethernet port because they admin down after a reset. The router boot and after that, ethernet port are disabled.

How can I acces to CLI in this case ?

  - You can't have an idea of the current functional state of the device without a working console (such as the ability to scrutinize the boot process) , so try factory reset and check if the console can become alive  ; if there is no console , then you should go for RMA.

The boot process going well, I can see the additional cards initialising and Ethernet interface going enable and disable after boot. Installed cards works as expected (I setup these card just before console port fail) but console port stop working just before I enter no shutdown for ethernet I/F... no luck.

Is there a way to force a startup config from CF instead of nvram ? With this, I will be able to enable telnet and AUX port.

What @marce1000 is asking is if after factory reset of the router, do you see the boot process displaying on your terminal screen?

Should see messages like these ones:

No there is no text outpout coming from console or AUX port when I power up the router. However the boot process going well, I just can't access the console or any admin interface.

@marce1000Because of activity of the installed cards. There is a PVDM module that initialised only after IOS load for example. PVDM LED lit after the boot process, and there, it lit orange then green when the router finish booting. Plus, there is a configured NM-8AM-V2 card who answer call (but can't routing it beacuse of admin shutdown of ethernet interfaces). It means the card has been setup and therefore that the boot process was successful.

In this case, like @marce1000 suggested, you should try to get an RMA on it.
