Router CPU utilization

hi guys,

In my company we are using 2621 Router for the  connectivity between four plants...

Nowadays while i check the utilization of the CPU it reach 100%....due to that link connectivity get damn slow...

Is there is any tool or technique is used to get alert message when it crosses the 90% ...

Hi Naveen

You can use RMON feature of the router

Config)# rmon alarm 10 .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.3.1.3.60023 100 absolute rising-threshold 50 1 falling-threshold 10 2

(Config)#rmon event 1 trap xxxx description "Router CPU increased" log
(Config)#rmon event 2 trap xxxx description "Router CPU decreased" log

(Config)#snmp-server host 192.168.0.1

Where xxxxx is the snmp string . (eg.public)
