Hi, I need help, I have a router 7200 Software (C7200P-ADVIPSERVICESK9-M), Version 12.4(15)T17, and after a power failure in the area it did not turn on anymore, what would be the fault?

Hello,
Not sure what you have tried but you could do some troubleshooting like this:
1. Replace the power cable with a known good one.
2. Change the outlet its plugged into (make sure the outlet works with another device to make sure the outlet didn't get fried)
3. If you can change out the power supply in the router with a known good one, then try that too.
4. I am not assuming anything but make sure when the router is plugged in that the power switch is also turned on. While you shouldn't have to do this as the power switch should have remained "on" during the power outage and the router should have came back up when power was restored.
5. Lastly, and I cant believe I am saying this, but make sure there is actually power in the building and powering devices.
Phone call: Hey the router wont turn on. We don't have network?
Me after a bad storm: Do you guys have power in the building?
Them: No.
Me:.....

Good to know. And sorry I do not.
And if all what I said was tested to include the power supply being replaced and still not working you may have to RMA the device if its fried.

First, you should check if the power cord is plugged in properly and if it has enough power supply. If it doesn't, then you should plug it in again and wait for some time before trying to use it again.
Just follow these steps to power cycle your router and modem:
Step 1: Unplug the modem and router from the power outlet.
Step 2: Wait at least 15 seconds.
Step 3: Plug the modem back into the power outlet first, wait 1-2 minutes, then it’s time to power on the router.
Step 4: Wait for all panel lights on your cable modem to become green on before testing your internet connection.
Step 5: Connect to the network with your computer and test the internet connection. It’s always better to test this by connecting with an Ethernet cable if possible.

Hello,
Other friends here have already extensively listed the tests to be done so I am not going to bother you with them. I just have a few additional questions:
Best regards,
Peter
