Hi,
Does anyone know how can I find out if the interface card of router becomes faulty. I have got one HWIC-4ESW card that I can't see from the router.

Hi,
Let's check this link. Make sure that your IOS is 12.3(8)T or higher.

Hello Sagar,
Unrecognized modules are usually either due to the IOS not being recent enough or due to hardware failure and the show diag is a good place to check about the module status. You can often get useful logs during bootup or insertion of the modules as well.
HWIC-4ESW requires 12.3(8)T as a minimum software. There is also a restriction that only 2 HWIC-4ESWs can be installed in one router.
If you have a supported IOS and you are not overstepping the above restriction, it looks like a possible hardware failure. I would recommend checking the module in another slot or if possible in another router to rule out slot/chassis failure and a reseat is useful as well in case the card is not pushed in properly.
I hope it helps.
Warm Regards,
Rose
