Hi,
from days I’m trying to configure a CISCO RV320 as 4G backup with Huawei E3372 dongle, but is not working
I’ve upgraded the router with firmware 1.3.2.02 and I’ve reset the router to factory default.
I’m able to ping google dns (8.8.8.8) but there’s no way to surf internet; the weird thing is that the dongle assign a private ip to the USB device (192.168.8.100) due to HiLink

The USB dongle is on the list as approved, but actually is not working; I tested a 3G dongle and works witout issues.
How can I have a 4G bakcup ?
Any ideas?

Hello,
the E3372 is supported by the RV320, but it might not be supported by the ISP, can you check with your ISP if it is ?
There is not much you can configure as far as the USB ports on the RV320 are concerned. Make sure that the credentials are entered correctly (as described on page 28 of the attached user guide):

The fact is that there' s nothing to change, the dialer is correct and no username is required.
When I ping from a connected pc I'm, able to ping 8.8.8.8, but not to surf on the web (yes, I set the DNS); even the router is able to ping.
Same scenario, same sim card but 3G dongle: no issues

Hello,
I did some research and, depending on how much time and effort you are willing to spend on this, there seems to be a way to flash the dongle from HiLink to Stick mode, which effectively removes the firewall and NAT from the dongle.

Hi Georg,
after days of tests, I finally converted the USB dongle in Stick mode.
Now I have the signal bars, carrier name but no ip...

Hello Stefano,
is the dongle your only WAN connection, or do you have an Ethernet WAN link active at the same time ?
Who is your provider ?
Again there is not really very much to configure on the RV320 USB ports (pages 28/29 of the attached user guide).

The dongle will be the bakcup in one case and primary connection in case of temporary office.
I'm sure that's not fully supported by Cisco, just wondering why I have it on the supported list.
I'm able to telnet to the modem with putty and send some AT commands, so why the router is not able to do it with an approved dongle?

were you able to resolve this issue. I'm facing similar problem on my RV325. I bought E3372 as compatible with my router but it seems that it is not. Modem also seems connected (actually it is with HiLink firmware)

I'm getting ip for this usb device on my RV325, from CMD i can resolve dns, I'm also able to ping to to yahoo, google etc. but it seems that when i try to open site in internet Explorer, Google or Firefox can not find the address. I will be glad for any ideas.
P.S. It is modem branded by my telco operator working like a charm when it is directly connected to computer.

same problem with cisco rv320 (firm v1.4.2.17) and E3372h-153. Flashing from hilink to usb mode actually helped?

Does not work for me
I bought a dongle same model but with other way of connection (like usb stick) and does not work neither.
No public IP like other models.
I open a SR and i await their response and if that work i will post solution.

Have the same issue with HUAWEI E3372 (listed in the supported doongles), but have a different ISP: Movistar Argentina
Cisco rv325 runs firmware 1.4.2.14 (lastest release at the date)

Recently I call to the ISP (Movistar Argentina), they only confirm the data of the APN, User, Pass and dial number.. they doesn't have idea on what may be wrong with the firmware of the dongle.
Besides, I called to Huawie, and they say this:
