Currently we have a 2901 router that connects to our ISP and have a 100/100 circuit. We will be upgrading to a 1Gb circuit here shortly and will need to replace the router so we can have 3 ethernet ports ( I know we can buy a card for the 2901 but a 2921 or 2951 are cheaper than the card)
The config on this WAN router that connects to the ISP will not do not or much of anything other than route the /26 to the /30 that connects to the isp. We have 1921 routers at other properties that can do a 300/300 connection with no issue so would a 2911 or 2921 be able to handle a 1Gb connection if we aren't doing NAT or anything too crazy on it?

Great, thank you for the reply. We wouldn't be using IPSec or NAt, just a short ACL to block inbound port 80 and 443 from most IP's
Thanks again
