I'm currently trying to find out if the current routers I have (ISR 4221) support VXLAN. The routers won't let me configure a NVE interface so I'm assuming the routers don't support VXLAN, but when you look under the Limitaitons of VxLAN support on this page it says that VXLAN isn't supported before IOS XE Everst 16.5.1, so does this mean all IOS versions after this support VXLAN? As I've upgraded the IOS on the 4221 routers to 16.12.4 and I still can't configure NVE interfaces.

VXLAN is supported only on ISR4451.

Ah thank you very much for this information. Do you know what switches support VXLAN, I know certain Nexus switches do but what about normal enterprise switches (e.g. 2960x)?
