Routing with Cisco 3560

Hi,

I have the attached config. One correction on the diagram. What labelled as CISCO 2950 is actually a Firewall.

Ping from the Cisco 3560 to all the servers was successful. However, ping from the NMS server to the servers are not.

Ping from the NMS server is only up to the 10.10.10.100. Did I miss something? Please advice.

Hi I guess route to this 192.168.1.0/24 subnet is mixing in firewall (Cisco 2960).

Hi,

seems that route ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 192.168.1.100 on 3560 does not make sense in your network.

Default route is directed to NMS server. So if you ping from NSM server it goes back to NMS server because it is present as deafult route on switch.

Remove this default route route and everything shoul work fine.

Also it depends on how your firewall if configured. If servers are behind NAT or not and if firewall is just like router.

Check if firewall is not blocking traffic initiated from NSM server.
