i've recently purchased a RV082, since we needed a reliable internet connection, the DUAL WAN did it for us
Unfortunately we have some problems with one of our ISP/Modem and hope you could help.
WAN1:
- Is via a Cable Provider,
- motorola modem to which i have no access
- apparently setup as "single use"
WORKS FINE!
WAN2:
- Zyxel P-2602HW-D1A
- various connection problems explained below.
When we first got the zyxel modem, it was set to DHCP + single use. The Cisco RV082 always received a internal IP 192.168... and never could resolve to a WAN adress. -> Hence we didn't get it to work.
We now had it changed to NAT Disabled + static WAN IP.
-> Cisco Router can connect, and the connection is established.
Unfortunately the connection is very very slow, we have DNS resolve issues, timeouts etc.
(All firewalls are disabled, no port forwarding/routing, etc.)
When i connect the Zyxel directly to my laptop, everything works fine!
I am in serious need for any tipps of how the setup the Zyxel modem and/or the RV082.
It works fine with the Motorola modem, so there must be a way.
