second generation VWIC

Hi,

any tip how to access / configure second generation of VWIC2-2MFT-T1/E1 on 1841, IOS 12.4.(8b) ?

Previus generation card (VWIC-1MFT-T1/E1) was accessable by:

controller E1 0

framing NO-CRC4

channel-group 0 timeslots 1-6

With new card inserted, I can not issue controller command, it must be some other way to access it.

Hi Vladimir

Do make sure you have given card type E1 or T1 command in the global config mode to get controller prompt..

I do have only E1 cards, from both generation. With older one VWIC, from global config I can

do: Controller E1 0 and enter controller config mode. With newer VWIC2 card inserted in the same router, when I try to enter controller E1 0 I get error. Show diag displays that VWIC2 is corectly recognized ...

BTW, card type E1 work only on 2811 series, but NOT on 1841 (IOS 12.4(8b) ) ...

Can you post the output of show version and show diag with the error message you get when you type card type e1 ?
