Security Concern of Installing the Cisco Umbrella Root Certificate

Hey All,

I'm interested in enabling SSL Decryption via Umbrella and read the req to install the Cisco Umbrella Root Certificate. I've discussed it with a few IT colleagues and they seemed to think it poses some serious security concerns? Does it and, if so, what are they?

I don't see how the installation of the root certificate poses a security risk. Can you ask your colleagues what exactly they are referring to ?

The entire idea of Umbrella is to actually INcrease security...

It was something along the lines that if the certificate is compromised, then this bad thing can happen to us because now we trust the cert because it's in our cert store......
