Selection of router model

Hi,

I am looking for an appropriate router model for our branch office.

Can anyone suggest appropriate models which can meet branch office requirements.

I think modular routers would be a better choice than integrated services routers.

Hi,

You might want to use the "Cisco Product Advisor"

http://tools.cisco.com/GCT/PCTPST/en/US/adirect/cisco?cmd=advisor&dummy=1&external.findCompare=Find&begin=yes&startstate=answer_Find-Compare_Find

It will ask you several questions regarding your requirements and suggests the most relevant product.

Another option is the "Solution Finder for Modular Routers"

http://www.cisco.com/pcgi-bin/finder/msbsearch.pl

Hi Farhan

The router model also depends on the kinda connectivity you are going to have in your branch office.

Different models of ISR supports different cards and the mode of connectivity decides the type of card to be in place on the router..
