I have an leased line,the modem has been terminated on an serial interface say on WIC-2T through V.35 cable, when i issue and sh int it says Serial Down and Line protocol Down, the DCD-Up, DSR-UP, DTR-Down, RTS-Down, CTS-Down.
Can any one give me a clue to resolve.

It could be a few problems. As stated cabling, carrier signal from provider, or faulty WIC or CSU/DSU. Here is a nice link on troubleshooting serial interfaces.

I have also come accross the same problem, when i changed the V.35 DTE cable, it solved my problem. Maybe you are suffering from the same one.

thanks for your consideration, my problem has been resolved, bascially we had the NM1FE2W module with two WIC-2T, we changed the NW1FE2W module and its working fine.
though its bit crazy.
