Hi,

We are getting the following error message on a CPE router:

*Jul 31 07:30:39.139 CET: %SHDSL_EA_IPC-7-IPCMSGFAILED: SHDSL 0/1/0 type(1) IPC Send ERROR
*Jul 31 07:30:40.139 CET: %SHDSL_EA_IPC-7-IPCMSGFAILED: SHDSL 0/1/0 type(1) IPC Send ERROR

It's a SHDSL interface on a Cisco router that connects to the provider. It worked fine in the past.

Interface status:

Ethernet0/1/0 is up, line protocol is down
Hardware is HWIC_MAC110_FE, address is 6c41.6abb.9fd0 (bia 6c41.6abb.9fd0)
  Internet address is 192.168.205.114/28
  MTU 1500 bytes, BW 512 Kbit/sec, DLY 19500 usec,
     reliability 255/255, txload 1/255, rxload 1/255
  Encapsulation ARPA, loopback not set
  Keepalive set (10 sec)
ARP type: ARPA, ARP Timeout 04:00:00
Last input 2w4d, output 1d22h, output hang never
Last clearing of "show interface" counters 5w6d
Input queue: 0/75/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 114380
  Queueing strategy: Class-based queueing
  Output queue: 0/1000/0 (size/max total/drops)
  5 minute input rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec
  5 minute output rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec
12265112 packets input, 3184183106 bytes, 0 no buffer
Received 0 broadcasts (0 IP multicasts)
     0 runts, 0 giants, 0 throttles
     0 input errors, 0 CRC, 0 frame, 0 overrun, 0 ignored
0 input packets with dribble condition detected
     13922941 packets output, 2486028314 bytes, 0 underruns
0 output errors, 0 collisions, 3 interface resets
     0 unknown protocol drops
     0 babbles, 0 late collision, 0 deferred
5 lost carrier, 0 no carrier
0 output buffer failures, 0 output buffers swapped out

Interface type:  EHWIC-4SHDSL-EA

Could it be a L2 misconfiguration or an error made on the provider DSLAM side?

Any idea?
