show interface: last output

Hi, I'm doing an auditing on few hundreds of ports on one of our routers.

Doing a show interfaces I can see that some port has got these values

Last input never, output 00:00:08

Could this be because the port has never been used, but cdp is enabled?

or whatelse?

I think you are correct. If a interface in question is not used but CDP is enabled on that interface you will get the above message in the sh interface output.
