Sort Output sh ip arp

Good day

There is a way to sort the output of the sh ip arp, for example, in descending order of ips addresses. My network is running Ios 12 ?

PD: I know that on IOS 15 and beyond i can use Linux commands to sort output, but i didnt find yet a way to sort the output of the sh ip arp command in order of ips addresses.

Hi there,

The only way to sort the output would be to process it off device. Regarding the linux guest shell, that is available on IOS-XE 16.x , but not IOS 15.x .

You already answered yourself,. out of the box Linux is good option and you make output what ever you like.
