Hi,
Does anyone has an idea why the command "source cpu rp" has been removed from IOS15.0(1)SY1. I can succesfully configure the following ERSPAN on 12.2 SXJ3 but not on ios 15.x. Did not understand why cisco has descoped this command. Any idea ?
monitor session 10 type erspan-source
shutdown
source cpu rp rx (--- 15.0 has no such option on 6500 )
destination
erspan-id 10
ip address x.x.x.x
origin ip address x.x.x.y
The switch model is 6500 with SUP2T / MSFC 5
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Umair

This might be due to the fact that Sup2T has a single CPU. Following is the snippet from the Sup2T architecture document
"The most important enhancement of the MSFC5 is the move from the dual CPU complex (RP/SP) to a single CPU complex that combines the RP and SP complexes into one. As such, this also introduces a new IOS image for the Supervisor 2T that combines the previous two running images into one"
Sup 32 and Sup 720 runs 12.2SX versions and Sup 2T is using the 15S images from what i see. It looks like monitoring CPU traffic is not a feature available on Sup 2Ts yet
Thanks.

Thanks for you reply. Is there any other possibility to capture traffic going to CPU RP ?
