Spanning tree was configured and enabled on C1111 router, but show spanning tree shows no spanning tree information as below. Does anyone know what the issue is and how to fix it? Thank you.

This is an Router, until you have a switch module in it, it can not act as a switch, so that is normal

The router has a switched module and the trunk port allows the vlans. All
C1111 routers in our network also have the same issue. I wonder if it is a
bug.

Hello
do you have any ports assigned to those vlans that are active or even an active trunk?
Also have you created the vlans?
vlan 599,990
exit

Hello,
I haven't followed the entire discussion, but by default, spanning tree is disabled for all Vlans on the C1111.
You need to manually enable it:
C1111(config)# spanning-tree vlan 599

with no error but it doesn't show up in running configuration.
router#sh run | s spanning
spanning-tree extend system-id
spanning-tree vlan 1,599,990 priority 61440
router#sh spanning-tree vlan 599
Spanning tree instance(s) for vlan 599 does not exist.

Hello
it does seem unusual that the rtr is stating the vlan are in a stp forwarding state but stp is not running
I-believe what @Georg Pauwen is stating is to re apply stp again without any priority
spanning-tree vlan 599
spanning-tree vlan 990

I have done the spanning-tree vlan x without priority with no error
prompt but I checked with the running configuration, it is not there. show
spanning tree still showed no spanning tree information. It is very
strange. I wonder if it is a bug or not.
