STatic route on 1900 interface facing ASA Inside interface failing to work

i have a machine connecting to a cisco 1900 router, the machine has to use the static route on the 1900 to get to the firewall.. however a traceroute from the PC to the ip on the firewall shows the traffic dying at the 1900 router...
if i put a different static route pointing to a different router that static route works.

kindly assist

You have told us a little about your situation but not enough for us to be able to really understand the issue or to offer much in the way of solutions. When you traceroute from the PC to the ASA your PC sends a first set of probe packets with Time To Live of 1 which get to the router and the router sends a response. Then the PC sends another set of probe packets with TTL of 2. They get to the router which forwards them to the ASA but you get no response. You say that traceroute dies at the router but that is not actually the case. It is more of an issue on the ASA than it is on the router. And we do not know anything about the ASA. Is the ASA correctly configured to accept traffic on that interface? Does other traffic go through the ASA successfully? Does the ASA have a routing entry for the subnet where the PC is? When we learn more we may be better able to make good suggestions.
