I have a couple of 2611 with an WIC1DSUT1 in each router and wonder if I could hook them up so that they both , without any net in bet. could serve as a serial link, /252 IP assigment and routing can be done...thanks

Will work fine. You just need a t1 cross cable.

I don't rember if you can set the clocking on these cards or not. If so set one to line and the other to internal. It will in most cases work with everthing left as default.
