Hello. I am having a problem with two configuration lines when configuring TACACS. When I enter these two lines to my config it causes the line protocol on my router to go down. This router gets out via a T1 and we are using PPP. Let me know if I need to provide more details here are the two lines that are giving me problems. Thanks ahead of time for your help.

aaa accounting network default start-stop group tacacs+

aaa authorization network default group tacacs+ local

Dear I,

can u please post ur full config. AFAIK these two lines shouldnt affect ur interface. We havt confirm what else command u entered in the interface with the PPP.

Yep here you go...I don't see any reason why those two lines would cause a problem. I figured out awhile ago when all of a sudden our network was unable to get to the outside and I did a sh interface on the S0 interface and found that the line protocol was down. After trying everything and ruling out everything else but the config I tried an old config that didn't have these two lines and the line protcol went up. Ever since that day if I put in those two lines to the config the line protocol goes down.
