Hi,
I have been asked about the possibility of taking an existing SDH connection and replacing it with an IP connection.
The current format is:
Line In -->Sagem MUX-->Fibre-->Sagem MUX-->Line Out
I want to replace it with:
Line In-->(E1)7206-->Fibre-->7206(E1)-->Line Out
I've seen bits and bobs of xconnects etc but no configuration examples. Could some kind folk show me how this can be done (i.e. map E1 port at Site 1 to E1 port at Site 2)?
Many thanks in advance.

What are you transporting in E1 ?
If IP, use MPLS.
If voice, use VoIP.
If "don't care", either buy now discontinued Circut Emulation modules, or do one of the above.
