Hi Team,
can any one help for NIC teaming issue?
I have windows servers connected on cisco switch 4500 series. Issue is when server NIC configure with Teaming, some times servers gets not reachable, and after restarting the servers it gets reachable. Is 4500 series switch support the teaming software? Pls help.

Hello Mihir,
teaming issue can be resolved in below order
1. you can disable power mgmt function of your AD server
2. you can disable power mgmt functionality of NIC because some NIC supports their own power mgmt
3. adjust switch jitter tolerance: find below link

The most reliable teaming method is to configure the server in fail-over mode.
This requires no configuration on the switch, the only condition is two ports in the same vlan.
Alternatively you can use etherchannel using LACP.

If these are Broadcom NIC's check the firmware. We've seen this same problem (among others) and it was always resolved by updating the firmware on the server's NIC.
