The cheapest Cisco router which is compatible with the Cisco VPN client

Which is the cheapest Cisco router which is compatible with the Cisco VPN client? We require five Cisco VPN clients, and thus also five VPN tunnels.

Can we buy the CISCO851-K9 router, and CVPN-CLIENT-K9= Cisco VPN Client Software (Price is for Media Only) ? If yes, do we need to buy only one CVPN-CLIENT-K9= or do we need to buy five?

There is no cost associated with the VPN client license. The part number CVPN-CLIENT-K9 is for media only (a CD-ROM with the client software), but you can download it with a valid CCO account.

remember to buy a service contract for the router, aka smartnet. This is what will allow you to register as customer and download the vpn client.

Also if possible try to buy at least an 871, as the 851 is designed to be a VPN branch, not a concentrator for VPN, and lacks many IOS features that you might need.
