hi all
under my interface f0/0 i found that there is a traffic shape syntax
traffic-shape rate 10000000 450000 220000 1000
can anyone tell me what does the last 3 figures mean, and also how its it generated?

Hello Alex,
Traffic shaping uses a mean rate, in your case 10,000,000 bits per second a normal burst of 450,000 bits (per interval) an extended burst of 220,000 (per interval) and a buffer-limit of 1,000 bits (per second).
When you only specify the mean rate, the other values are automatically calculated ( the formula is not disclosed by Cisco ).
If you'd like to tweak the settings you can use this formula as a reference
mean rate = burst size / time interval
