I'll try to explain it better :
I'm using a 877 router to connect to DSL ISP
Dialer interface obtains a static ip address after ISP authentication
Then all ports and protocols are forwarded to a LAN firewall to make this last figure as it was a public interface, but it's not really so, as traffic is anyway natted by 877
Is it possible in some way to assign the public IP address to the firewall NIC and use 877 to be a transparent dialer modem (unnumbered ethernet or something like) ??
Thank you

I dont think so, as the ISP negotiates the IP address from the ppp credentials.

I was supposing so.....
Yes, cisco would negotiate IP addres with ISP (anyway it is a static one) , once achieved, I thougth there was some mechanisn to bridge it transparently to firewall ethernet......
