Hi I want to receive full BGP in my switch 6506 with the follow characteristics: cisco WS-C6506-E (R7000) processor (revision 1.2) with 458720K/65536K bytes of memory and Supervisor Engine 720.
When I configure the session BGP in my router with me peer the switch begins to work slow and restarts.
I don't know what happen with the router
Cheers

Hi Joana,
How many BGP routes did you receive? Please note that with SUP720 TCAM can only be installed maximum 256k routes (you can use the command "show mls cef maximum-routes" to verify).
Also you may want to receive partial internet routes, just filter out any thing smaller than a /21 or /22.

Hi Nguyen,
I don't know how many BGP routes received, because my SW L3 was reset.
The command show mls cef maximum-routes displays the following information:
SW6500-GDL#show mls cef maximum-routes
FIB TCAM maximum routes :
=======================
Current :-
-------
IPv4 + MPLS - 192k (default)
IPv6 + IP Multicast - 32k (default)
So I have to change to 256K, receive partial bgp and filter out any thing smaller than a /21 or /22.
Thanks Nguyen.
