In what interface is it recommended to increase the delay (to make a route less desirable), the real physical interface which is a serial interface connected to the internet or the actual GRE Tunnel that is derived from the physical interface? Running EIGRP over GRE, thanks to all.

I feel it has to be configured on GRE tunnel interface to make route via that interface less preferrable. There can be multiple GRE tunnels built over serial interface going to different locations. if it will be configured on seial interface then it will make route less preferrable for all those locations.
hope it helps ... rate if it does ...

Hi
A routing protocol always includes the cost of the interface via which the update is sent or received . Here even though the traffic is sent via serial link , but eigrp is run over the GRE tunnel , so manipulating the delay or bw on tunnel would be fine.
Hope this helps
