Hi,
A client of ours (2811 router )have a requirement wherein all voice traffic needs to take the first serial interface & all data traffic the second one. Also it should failover ie if first link goes down then voice should go with data and vice versa.
Is this possible? Can some provide some advise or some links/ configuration links.
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Sonu

Unless the voice is some kind of VoIP (which is really "just data"), it won't work.
Traditional voice (i.e. POTS service) is connected to a different system back at the Central Office than a data connection would be.
In a traditional T1/DS1, voice channels are only for voice, data channels are only for data ... they are different types of signaling.
If the voice service is some flavor of VoIP, then that is carried over a data channel like any other data traffic.
Good Luck

Hi there,
You can simply use floating static routes, but in case both the voice and data flow on the same interface you'll need QoS (mainly LLQ), which is doable by your router and accordingly i'll recommend that you apply the QoS configuration on both interfaces.
