tx pak too big

Hi all,

Regularly getting the following error appear in my logs and looking for some suggestions:

%MV64340_ETHERNET-5-TOOBIG:  GigabitEthernet0/0, Tx pak is too big, 2998 bytes

So, interface G0/0 is configured as a 'Trunk' and the default MTU is set.

A couple of options I guess - Decrease the traffic throughput or increase the MTU?  Or, can I implement a 'service-policy' which shapes the traffic exceeding 1500 bytes?

Decreasing the traffic throughput is pretty much impossible as there's a lot of continuous multicast data, RDP sessions and backups...

Hey @Dan Smith,

How is the MTU set at both ends of the devices? Why not just set the MTU equal at both ends of the links?
