Unable to setup WAAS on ISR 4331

We have a cisco 4331 router that will not allow us to enable and configure the WAAS service.

We receive the following error after running through the “service waas enable”:

“installation failure decision to exit”


It appear to be failing because the router does not appear to be recognizing commands:

Int VirtualPortGroup31
Or
virtual-service AUTOWAAS


Not sure if this is a licensing issue or something that needs enabled.

hi,

just had the same problem and had some time to do test lab with upgraded 8gig DRAM.

indeed the error messages (debug's also) were not point to any particular parts to do some tshoot.

ISR WAAS needs minimum of 8gig DRAM.

please also consider other requirements such as harddisk & flash accordingly to WAAS profile & IOS version compatibility.

the commands #virtual-service, #show virtual-service then available.
