Keepalives are 60 secs and 180 hold time by default (during peering, the lower of the two peers is negotiated so it can be changed). Updates are 5 seconds for ibgp and 30 for ebgp peers...

Hi,
1) if you do a soft or hard clear then you will send update immediately or after the coonection is established but otherwise the updates are batched and not sent periodically.
2) the keepalive is the same for eBGP abd iBGP

keepalive and htv is 60,180.BGP peers use a version number of the BGP table and it should be the same number for all peers,
the version number will change if any routing changes occures,so bgp usess incrimental update not periodic
