So it looks fairly straightforward on upgrading the IOS on switches in a stack based on this:
I am assuming that it is important to make sure that each member of the stack gets the bin file copied to it's respective flash. For example in our case we have switches 1, 2, 4, 5, so we would make sure the bin file was on flash1, flash2, flash 4 and flash 5?
Then we can do the
boot system switch all flash:/
command?

Yes, copy IOS images to all the stack member switches flash by using
copy tftp: flash1:copy tftp: flash2:
.... etc
Now boot all the flash by using
boot system switch all flash:/
and write the image... write memeory.
verify OS images by issuing the command show boot

BTW, an alternative to what Hari has, once you get the BIN image on one flash you can copy from that flash to any of the others. I.e. copy flash#:
