I have 86 host with IP phone and want to design the network using 6500 and 4507 series switch, any idea or suggestion.
How can i start working on it as well as any good design of VLAN as well as redundancy. will 4507 support the enough port density. I will have 6500 as wan switch and 4507 will be connected with 6500.
if possible then also give me good device selection tips.

Your selection is good 6500- wan switch and 4500 access layer switch connecting to 6500.

Hi,
Always use this Cisco Catalyst Switch Guide:
http://www.cisco.com/application/pdf/en/us/guest/products/ps708/c2072/cdccont_0900aecd805f0955.pdf
NOTE for the 4500, the Port Density: Up to 384 Fast Ethernet or Gigabit Ethernet ports.
For the 6500, the Port Density: Up to 1,152 10/100 ports, 577 10/100/1000 ports.
So its not about port density (both can do it for you), its about performance, scalability, and future plans.
As for redundancy, both supports redundant supervisor engines and redundant power supplies.
As for the VLAN, the best pratice is to have 2 VLANs, one for data and the other for voice.
HTH, please do rate if it does help,
Mohammed Mahmoud.

Friend,
What is the growth you are expecting in the site 2 years down the line?
6500 certainly is a very good switch but seems to be an overkill at the moment.
you can certainly consider other switch series as well.
