Hello,
Why when exec 'show vtp password' the router responds with 'vtp password is configured' and not showing original password?
Currently i use C9300 with SW version 17.09.03

TAC say this due new IOS-XE platform
"Yes,
show vtp password
command shows the password on the old platform switch but in the new IOS-XE platform, it is not showing, the same I checked in the LAB switch."

Hello,
I could be completely off here, but as far as I recall, that is the default when you use VTP version 3 and specify the 'hidden' option when specifying the password. The password is stored in cleartext in the vlan.dat, but for security reasons, you get the 'vtp password is configured' message. I think in older IOS versions you would see the actual hashed password.
