Does anyone here have the specs on VWIC T1 electrical protection? Specifically, what is the maximum voltage that should be seen on a T1 line?
We are seeing several fried VWICs in the field and are suspecting line surges as the root cause.
TIA

If I remember correctly, T1 voltage (true T1) is 130VDC. If you have several fried WIC T1 cards, call Telco and advise them that they need to replace the NIU (SmartJack). Inform them of the mulitple interface cards that have been burnt out.
Telco will usually give you a hard time about this, but be persistent!
