Hi,

If WAN connectivity with traditional methods like Fiber link or Copper link is not available but if  wireless coverage by cell phone service providers is available.  Is it possible to somehow interface ( 3-G , 4 - G ) these technologies to routers WAN or HWIC interfaces. I got  material for this Cisco 1941 series router Mobile Wireless router but still not clear about how the connectivity is done. Is it like a data link,  Like a  point-to-point link, or is it a internet link - just like smart phone, is it a dial-on-demand or permanently connected for data transfer.

Please share the experience if you have used 3-G, 4-G , GSM technologies provided by cell phone operators to interface it with routers and how data connectivity is achieved.

Thanks

Subodh

It is of course an Internet link.

For details, you should ask the mobile operators.
