WAN IP Not reachable

Hi All,

have a issue with WAN IP not reachable from Internet.

Topology Details:

Two ISPs connected to Single Cisco Router with Public IP configured respectively [ Refer attached diagram]

Default route to ISP1 with IP SLA tracker with Ad 1

Secondary Default route with 10 AD to ISP2 with IP SLA Tracker

NAT enabled on Both WAN interfaces

LAN- Single subnet.

ISP are configured to work as Active and Standby with failover

Issue:  We are not able to ping ISP2 WAN interface from outside Internet ( I'm guessing since the default route is towards ISP1)

We are able to ping ISP1 public IP / and also no ACLs configured and able to reach WAN2 interface IP address

          from LAN.

Requirement: We have cloud monitoring system which will check ICMP of both the WAN IPs

Need your suggestion/Guidance

Thanks in advance.

Any suggestions

Hello,

the most likely reason is that because of the IP SLA, there is no route. Post the output of:

show ip route

show run

if you cannot ping a public a address from public internet then it has nothing to do with your internal network!

Contact ISP, they may have filters.

This is nothing to do with default route, the default route only effective from user going from inside to outside.

from Internet to WAN IP, should able to ping, as suggested contact ISP and check.
