Hi
We have a WAN link connected to Gigabit interface of the routers. I am able to see that the interface are up on both the routers and are clean.
I am also able to see one router in the CDP neighbor but I am not able to see otherwise.
( Router A can see Router B in the CDP neighbor but Router B can not see Router A in the CDP neighbor )
I am not able to ping to each other.
This looks like a one way traffic problem from Service provider side to me. ( as CDP uses UDP )
Please share the experience.
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
cdp is a L2 Cisco proprietary protocol and as such it doesn't use any L4 protocol.
both routers not pinging themselves is not necessarily a 1-way problem, is one of the routers owned by ISP?
Regards.
Alain.

hi sir ,,
you are saying ... ( Router A can see Router B in the CDP neighbor but Router B can not see Router A in the CDP neighbor ) !!!!!
first ,,, kindly re-moved cpd configuration then type it again .... by using RouterB(config)#no cdp run .... then configure it
again ...
second ...please try to use ( debug cdp ip ) & ( debug cdp adjancy ) & ( debug cdp events ) command from router a ,,,, then do the same in router b . after that share the output and share them ...
Hope this helpful for you initilally ....
regards,
majed

Thanks for the reply. As expected it's SP problem.
