I Do not know a lot, but, suspect  between my accespont branche or o common problem between wan modem and acces point - economic, exterior tplink access points - I precise a good solution, cause it´s  on a Small bussiness Hotel.  -Sorry about writying, I live in México, lots af years i don´t wright in english.

 Thanks a lot.

Hi,

If I understand you correctly, this is what you are saying: If you are using a DSL modem then your internet connection works. If you are using a WAN router then the internet connection does not work.

Unfortunately, there is extremely little technical information available about your devices so far. Can you take time to answer the following questions for me?

  1. What is the exact vendor and type of the DSL modem?
  2. What is the exact vendor and type of the WAN router?
  3. Does the WAN router have a dedicated DSL interface, or is it just a router with Ethernet interfaces and no DSL port?
  4. When you say your network does not work with the WAN router, how do you connect it? Do you use the WAN router instead of the DSL modem, or do you connect your WAN router to the DSL modem?
  5. How is the DSL modem currently configured? Does it do any routing, or is it operating only in a bridged mode?
  6. How is the WAN router configured?
  7. What kind of PPP connection are you using - is it PPPoE or PPPoA?

I understand some of these may be very technical but please try to be as precise as possible.

Best regards,
Peter
