What do I do with this message : BRI0 : changing state to F5

Hello,

I want to configure an access RNIS with a router Cisco 1603.

When I plug a cable in interface ISDN BRI with the command "ALL DEBUG EVENTS" start, I have this message : "BRI0 : changing state to F5", and after nothing.

Someone know how the interface BRI 0 can arrive to State F7?

Thanks for your help.

Guillaume

You need to make actual calls to check the BRI interface.

However, I would not bother loosing time with such an old router, and would get something more current instead.

Hello Guillame,

you can use show isdn status

to check the BRI state

it provides the status of ISDN layers 1 to 3

Hope to help

Giuseppe
